Resolutions for 2011

New year, clean slate . . . isn't that the idea?  Some folks take this idea a step further by coming up with resolutions of things they will (or won't) do in the new year, and I definitely fall into that group.  The kind of things I've come up with has changed over the years -- now I'm far less likely to resolve to take one weekend getaway per month and far MORE likely to resolve to wash my hair at least 4 times a week.  Ha!  That's just kind of the state of my life right now.  And, I love it.

We're three weeks into the new year and already some of the things I pledged (in my mind) to do have fallen by the wayside.  So, I've decided to post my resolutions with the hope that by "saying them out loud," I'll be more likely to follow through with them.  So, here goes (in no particular order):
  1. Cook dinner 3 nights per week.  (Maybe more, but this is a start.)
  2. Clean out the garage so at least one car can park in there.
  3. Start keeping a journal again.
  4. Go to church more frequently.
  5. Go to the gym twice a week. (So far, not good -- I haven't been yet this year!)
  6. RELAX.
  7. Laugh more.
  8. Drink more water, eat fewer cookies.
  9. Take the dogs on a long walk at least once per week.
  10. Read more.  (Us Weekly & People don't count!)
  11. Shop for Christmas all year long.
  12. De-clutter & get organized!
Here's to a GREAT 2011!
